I’ve only ever known Disney through the lens of Paris. But Florida hit different. More golden in every sense of the word.
I arrived with only Disneyland Paris in my pocket—small in scale, but big in charm. Orlando? That was another universe entirely. Still, tucked inside the gates of Disney’s exclusive Golden Oak, the Four Seasons Orlando promised something rare: enchantment without overwhelm. It delivered that, and more.
A towering chandelier of 30,000 crystals greeted me like a private fireworks show—flickering light bouncing across marble and palms. This wasn’t theme park kitsch. This was refined wonder.
Wrapped in calming neutrals and natural textures, the Park View Room invited deep rest. For a touch more indulgence, the Grand Suite offered dual bathrooms, generous closets, and sunrise views over the parks.
Park View Room & Grand Suite
A bedside tablet controlled it all: room service, lighting, privacy. Technology, simplified.

Rooftop Dining at Capa
As fireworks lit the skyline, I sipped sangria under an ink-blue sky. Capa’s rooftop perch wasn’t just about the views (though they were unforgettable)—it was about bold flavors, grilled to perfection, and a rhythm of elegance that felt more Madrid than Magic Kingdom.
Breakfast with Mickey at Ravello
Twice a week, Ravello transforms into childhood joy: a character breakfast where Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy wander through fresh waffles and espresso. By night, Ravello shifts gears. Linen tablecloths. Italian comfort. I chose a half-and-half pizza and ravioli so delicate, it barely needed a fork.
Explorer Island Water Park
They call it a water park. I’d call it a five-acre dream. Explorer Island has everything: splash zones, lazy rivers, two epic slides, and poolside bliss for every age. But for grown-ups craving calm? There’s an adults-only infinity pool, shaded by palms and serenity.
Spa & Wellness
The spa offered a bespoke massage that melted tension from my travel-worn shoulders. Afterwards, I wandered into the sensory showers: Arctic Rain one moment, Jungle Mist the next. It was bliss in motion.
Tennis, Golf & Active Luxury
Green fairways curled beneath the sun. Clay tennis courts waited under palms. Whether you’re swinging a racket or a 9-iron, Four Seasons Orlando invites you to slow down and play well.
Disney Access & Concierge
Here, you get the best of Disney, minus the chaos. A dedicated Disney concierge handles park tickets, FastPass+ bookings, dining, and more. Private shuttles run daily to all four parks—plus SeaWorld and Universal (for a fee). You’re inside the magic. But it’s curated, calm, and convenient.
The Verdict
Is Four Seasons Orlando worth it? Absolutely. For those seeking Disney magic without the frenzy, this is your place. From rooftop fireworks to character waffles and palm-shaded pools, it’s not just a stay—it’s a story. A sanctuary for dreamers, wanderers, and families who like their wonder a little more refined.
